The Gecko Holdings group including the operational assets of the associated company Andawar AB have been divested to a group of Burmese private investors on June 2, 2016.

The buyers have acquired Gecko Holdings Ltd., incl. its subsidiaries, and all rights related to the development of luxury resorts on Kyun Philar, a paradise island in the Myeik Archipelago, located off the southwest coast of Myanmar. The land area comprised of approximately 24 square kilometers also includes exclusive rights to some of the smaller surrounding islands and the adjacent diving waters.
